Alison Lincoln Freelance
Bio
Alison Lincoln is a freelance groom, coach, author and equine facilitated learning (EFL) practitioner.
My approach is informed by the science of working with horses and humans in order to explore relational and partnership practices enabling you both to get the most from your time together.
EFL provides an experiential learning opportunity through interactions with our herd of horses to help individuals or groups learn about themselves and their way of being in the world. By reflecting on this experience participants are able to identify their thinking / behaviour patterns and translate this awareness into their everyday life.
My first book 'Equine Sports Coaching' is an introduction to the science of coaching drawing on tried and tested coaching practices in other sports and translating them into a practical guide for the equestrian coach.
'Be Your Own Equine Sports Coach' was published in 2022 and brings together the science of training, coaching and psychology exploring both the horse and the human as athletes in their own right and how as a partnership you can meet the demands of competition.
Qualifications: Equine Facilitated Learning (HERD Institute); BSc Equine Sports Coaching; Level 4 Further Education Teaching;Â Practitioner member for International Society of Equitation Science (ISES)
